FTP, or File Transfer Protocol, is a standard network protocol for transferring files between a client, such as a personal computer, and a server over the Internet. It lets users easily upload, download, and manage their website files.
Using FTP provides greater control over file management, faster transfers, and the ability to handle large files efficiently. You need an account for that.
Follow these steps to set up an FTP account and connect to your server using an FTP client.
How to Set Up an FTP Account and Connect to Your Server
First, log in to your client area. Visit simplenet.io and click Log in.
Access the Hosting Control Panel
After entering your credentials, access the control panel. Click on Services, choose your WordPress hosting plan, and open the panel.
Create the FTP Account
Select your website inside the hosting control panel. Open the Advanced FTP section and click Add Account.

In the next window, choose a username and a strong password. Save these details for later use. Set the directory access level. If full access is needed, leave the field blank. Click Add to complete the process.

Now, you have created an FTP account.
Connect Using an FTP Client
To connect, use an FTP client like FileZilla. Launch FileZilla and click the first icon in the top left corner to go to Site Manager.
Click New Site and enter the username (the one you created earlier), the password (the one you saved earlier), and the host. For the host, you can use your domain name. If you have Cloudflare, enter the server’s IP address.

Manage Your Files
After a successful connection, manage your files directly. On the right side of the screen are the Server files in the public_html folder, which contains all WordPress data. On the left side of the screen, you have your local files. Upload or download files as needed.
With these steps, your FTP account is ready, and you can transfer files smoothly using FileZilla.
